Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011, was the founding co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. The producer was also, costume/set designer, composer/musician and text coach for SSC while she served as the Artistic Director of SSC. While she would usually be the director of her group the first time she was directing was in SSC King Lear.
